The Story of Us is a short video depicting the last 11 years of our life together.  The DVD begins with Jason and I meeting at college at SEMO and ends with the big surprise...We found out we were pregnant!

Close-ups using the "Macro" setting on our cameras.  I wish I would have also had a macro lens for this assignment since I could have gotten much closer but I think they still turned out pretty good.

Portraits with Artificial Light

I learned from this assignment that I much prefer taking photos outside with natural light to inside with artificial light.  I did use a three-point lighting system but I wish I would have used a different background color than the yellow because it doesn't compliment my subject's skin tone very well.

Landscape

We took a family hike at Castlewood State Park and I was able to get some really good landscape and nature shots.  It was a gorgeous day! We were thrilled to spend it outside in the cool, crisp air with the leaves crackling beneath our feet as we walked.

Just a brief, little photojournalism assignment completed at the Kirkwood Train Station.  My husband's uncle is always raving about this train station in particular so I decided to go check it out.  This may not be a great story told through photos, but I got some great architectural shots!

Come to find out, portrait work with babies is not as easy as it looks! Those little buggers just don't follow directions very well but I still got some great shots outside.  I love the natural light in many of these photos.
